Africans for a few thousand years have lived in the desert where there's a scarcity of food and water. Many brave African fighters have come from the desert and they are among the toughest and most resourceful people on the beautiful Earth. I draw upon the strength of the brilliantly red-orange African desert sunset and the strength and fortitude of those of our people who come from the African desert. The shapes of the beads are an oval, circle, hexagon, and a few other shapes, conveying the complexity and dynamism of the African desert sun. Some beads are iridescent, giving off a glow in the sunlight. In dim light, the large center bead representing the sun stands out, perfectly conveying how the African sun looks like when it's setting. The earrings are a mesmerizing shade of red with smaller beads of alternating shapes.
